The laying of bricks for the newly devised album cycle begins in earnest. This includes a much more fully-realized template for Backstage with seamless track transitions and all. They're not particularly clever transitions, more just things being in the same key and bleeding into whatever came next, but it was a start. Also discovered: more stuff for Satellites and Belize.
Much like the world-building, my Masters program was in full swing. I finished this FAWM in 2 weeks because I had a mandatory conference to attend in Seattle halfway through the month. I'd never been to the west coast before and was already pretty anxious when the plane touched down. Then I left my umbrella onboard and wasn't able to retrieve it before being thrust into the notoriously rainy Emerald City. Feeling stupid and useless and painfully alone in the world, I cried in that Seattle rain and became truly invisible.
Later in the year I'd start a new relationship, my 2nd in 27 years of living, not that companionship is a numbers game or anything. It's a miracle that there are even that many to speak of, as my antisocial tendencies seem to always get the better of me. What's more, I met someone who actually seemed to like me for who I actually was, which was more than I could say for the first foray.
